    Puma announced as official Apparel Sponsor for the Hyundai A-League Champions.

    August 2, 2011.Global Sportlifestyle brand PUMA, and Brisbane Roar FC are proud to announce their new partnership as the team’s exclusive Apparel partner for the next three Hyundai A-League seasons.
    PUMA will provide the official playing kits for all associated Brisbane Roar teams, including the Youth and Women’s teams. PUMA is also Brisbane Roar’s official partner in relation to replica kits, fanwear and other merchandise.
    The joint venture with PUMA and Brisbane Roar is announced ahead of the club’s title defence in the upcoming season and its inaugural AFC Champions League campaign in 2012.

    Our new partnership in Football compliments Puma’s leadership position across a sponsorship portfolio of AFL teams including Hawthorn and the West Coast Eagles and high profile athletes across all National codes including superstars Chris Judd, James O’Conner and Mitchell Pierce.” says Mr Mitchell
    With an existing stable of internationally renowned footballers and athletes, PUMA’s current Partners include English Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, and national teams of Italy, Switzerland and the recently announced partnership with South Africa.
    South Africa became Puma’s 12th African national team and adds to the long standing tradition of football sponsorship and active involvement across the continent for the Puma brand.
    Brisbane CEO Eugenie Buckley said PUMA’s brand strategy provided synergy with the club’s own philosophies.
    “PUMA is known not only as a great football brand but also a great sport lifestyle brand and that is something that we also aspire to here at Brisbane Roar.
    PUMA have a reputation for quality and innovation, something Ange Postecoglou and his players demonstrated on the pitch last season and something we are striving to match off the field.
    Brisbane Roar will be the only Hyundai A-League club to partner with PUMA, something we are very proud of.”
    Buckley said the long term contract was a sign of confidence in the Club and its aspirations to become a significant player in the Asian football market.
