Sitting top of the league looking to defend their State League Premiership, the Western Knights stunned many a week ago by sacking manager Paul Price and appointing former players Carl Medica and Alex Christie as coaches until the end of the season.

It was an interesting week at Nash Field this week with the Western Knights sitting top of the league two points clear of Perth and Stirling Lions, with two games to go, a decision was made to part company with Coach Paul Price.

Stirling Lions took out the 2010 Football West State League Cup 2-1 at Frank Drago Reserve on Sunday after making the prefect start to the match scoring in the second minute.

Fourth placed Floreat Athena took on fifth placed Sorrento at Percy Doyle Reserve with both sides looking to cement their finals positions, Floreat however still had a remote chance of claiming a top two finish. Sadly the game did not reflect the lofty aspirations of the supporters as neither ‘keeper was forced to make a genuine save.
